Burge Coffee was born out of a genuine obsession with craft — the kind that starts in a kitchen, takes over a weekend, and never really lets go.
We believe the best cup of coffee you'll ever have is one you roasted yourself. Not because it's complicated, but because it's yours. You chose the beans. You watched the colour change. You heard the crack. The cup at the end carries all of that.
What We Make
We build home roasting kits that strip away everything unnecessary. A pan, a heat source, green beans worth roasting, and enough guidance to get you through your first batch with confidence. No expensive equipment. No pretension. Just what you need to turn raw beans into something remarkable.
Beyond the kit, we publish The Field Guide — a growing collection of articles on home roasting, brewing, origins, and coffee ritual. We build free tools for roasters and brewers: roast logs, cupping journals, brew diaries, and the Roast Master Sim. We maintain a community roaster map so you can discover small-batch roasters wherever you are.
What We Believe
Coffee should be accessible. The best equipment is the attention you bring. Freshness matters more than expense. The farmer who grew your beans deserves to be known, even if you'll never meet them. And a morning spent making something with your own hands is never a morning wasted.
We're not trying to build the biggest coffee brand. We're trying to build one that feels like it belongs to the people who use it. Handmade. Honest. Slower than the world expects.
God. Family. Coffee.
In that order. That's the Burge Coffee ethos. It's on our boxes, in our voice, and behind every decision we make. Coffee is third for a reason — it's there to serve the first two. A morning ritual that grounds you. A craft you can share. A reason to slow down long enough to actually be present with the people around you.
If that resonates, you're our kind of people. Join the waitlist and we'll let you know when kits are ready. Or say hello — we read every message.
